2011 Fall Semester Scholarship Awarded
Congratulations to Nick Everett, who was awarded the 2011 Fall Semester Psi Theta Nu (PTN) Scholarship this past week! It was a very tough decision, all four applicants were very deserving. We'd encourage those of you who have not yet recieved the scholarship to apply again for the spring semester!
The PTN Scholarship is a merit-based award totaling $250. It is awarded at the beginning of C Term and A Term based on applications submitted B Term and D Term. It is awarded to a deserving undergraduate brother on the basis of their contribution to the fraternity and their academic excellence.
New Website & Latest PTN News
With the new year we have a new website! Psi Theta Nu's old website, which may still be reached at old.psithetanu.org, was nearly six years old and very much out of date. We'll be continuing to use that website for internal things for at least the next few months, and use this one for news, events, and PTN information. Here is a recap of things that have been happening over the past few months:
- The just this past October, four new trustees were elected to the board. The current 2012 PTN board postions are available here.
- Applications for the 2012 spring semester PTN scholarship were due January 1st. We will be awarding this scholarship the week of January 15th.
- We've just began planning for the Psi Theta Nu / Sigma Pi Gamma Iota 50th anniversary.
- We're also now in the planning phase of installing a sprinkler system in the chapter house.
- We've created a Google Calendar for PTN events. You can subscribe to this calendar by going here.
